Add the Actions

In this context, it is the action realized or planned to eliminate waste or optimize costs.

Step 1: In the Actions tab, press to register;

On this screen, the user can register the action by entering the name and selecting the pillar that will be impacted by the implemented action.

The pillars are:

  • Cloud Strategy: all actions related to commitment models: reservations, savings plans, CUDs, etc.

  • Cost Management: these are the processes used to keep expenses under control and which can bring financial benefits: credits, MAP, EDP, exchange rate impacts, etc.

  • Eliminate Waste: is the process of choosing and assigning cloud resources to workloads and applications to improve performance, while optimizing cloud costs and eliminating waste: idle or idle resources, unconnected resources, these are some actions that we can register to provide visibility of the impact on costs.

  • Cost Optimization: is the process of reducing the costs of cloud services, while maintaining or improving performance, such as rightsizing, for example.

  • Resource Management: is the practice of analyzing resources and proposing improvements to architecture, integrations, requests, etc. Items such as changes in the use of services, migration to new families and redefinition of architecture can be registered.

  • Policies and Delivery: this is the pillar for registering actions related to automation, which can integrate correction workflows to achieve risk reduction in your environment and cost optimization.

Each of these categories has an individual specification. This action will be used to create the phases as we will see in the next steps.
