Cloud Accounts

What is the Cloud Accounts feature:

A configuration developed by Pier Cloud that allows you to register all accounts that will be used in the CCA rules and in the Infrastructure Anomalies functionality.

How to use the Cloud Accounts feature:

  1. Clicking on the user profile, in the “Settings” option, as illustrated below:

  1. The system will display a side menu with some configuration options, where the “Cloud Accounts” option must be selected:

  1. On the Cloud Accounts main screen, the system allows you to add a new account by clicking the “Add” button.

  1. A screen will be displayed to register the new account, where you will need to provide the following information:

  • Business unit: In this field you will need to select the business unit related to the account.

  • Account identifier name: Enter a name that will be used to identify the account

  • Environment: Enter the work environment for the account

  • Account ID: Account identification ID on the cloud provider. Depending on the cloud provider used, the account ID field may vary, and may include:

    • AWS: Account ID

    • Azure: Account ID

    • GCP: Project ID

    • OCI: Tenant ID

  • CCA (Cloud Compliance Analyzer): Indicate whether CCA will be used, a PierCloud service that identifies non-compliant resources. For this service to work correctly, the PierCloudFramework IAM Role must be installed on your account.

  1. When you click on the “Save” button, the system will return to the main screen, where you will be able to view the new account registered on the platform.

Note: By default, every registered account starts with the initial status of Active.

  1. Filters: On the main screen, you can perform some types of filters:

  • Search by Cloud account number

  • Search by account status, whether active, inactive or all

  1. Actions: For each registered account, it is possible to perform the following actions:

    • Enable or disable the account by clicking the "" button:

  • Edit account information by clicking the "" button:

  • Remove the registered account by clicking the "" button:
