Global Settings

Accessing Global Settings.

  1. In the Spot side feature menu, select Global Settings.

In the Global Settings section, will be necessary to pre-configure your default options, such as which strategy will leave pre-configured, how many instances will make available as options for Smart Pricing to consider in its analysis, and what the distribution of these instances will be.

  • Ex: 10 VMs, 10 instances to be distributed. Then it will be entered into the system so that of these 10 VMs, 50% will be the distribution. This means that 5 will go to one instance and 5 to another. If it is informed 10%, 1 VM for each instance.

The system allows to inform specific instances family for ignoring. Sometimes, as a rule, your application cannot, does not support, or has not been allowed to run on specific families of instances, being possible to block this action by configuring this block.

In accounts to automatically enable, it is a way to already automate all this creation in Spot, so whenever our tool finds an opportunity, it will be taken advantage of.

  1. Then it is possible to configure the specific account using the gear button "" corresponding to the desired account.

Basically, it's the same configuration menu with small differences. It presents details of the architecture of that specific resource. After allowing configuration, the view and screen have the same pattern as the Global Settings, having this resource as a custom configuration option.

Services

Today the module supports the following services: Auto Scaling Groups, ECS, EKS, Beanstalk, and Standalone. Each of them will be explained.
