Start - Stop

Start - Stop is an Autofix feature where it is possible to automate the process of turning on and off existing instances in the environment, based on a key and value.

Start - Stop currently includes 2 services: VMs and Databases.

Accessing Start-Stop. In the Autofix side menu, select Start-Stop

Select the service: VM or Database

  1. Creating a Start - Stop action

On the Start - Stop home screen, click the “Add” button in the top right corner.

  1. Properties

On the properties screen, inform the name and account ID where the resources are located.

Click continue to proceed with creation.

  1. Filters

Add filters to identify the resources that will be automated.

filters is where Start Stop will locate resources by key and value

  • In "Filter Type" it is possible to locate the resource through the Tag:

  • Set the expression CONTAINS:

  • In key and value, add the resource identification so it can be found.

  • When adding, it is possible to view the filter of the created resource

On the right it is possible to edit and delete the filter already created.

Click continue to proceed with creation.

  1. Schedule

Configure the Start - Stop execution schedule.

Select the days of the week when the start stop will be executed

Note: In the "set different intervals for each day" option, you can customize the execution time by day of the week.

Then, select the time that the resource will be turned on and off.

Indicate the resource timezone

Indicate the days on which the action cannot be performed.

Once created, it is possible to view the action on the Start - Stop home screen.
